Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh


Congratulations to the whole Khalsa Panth on the 400th year Parkash Purab of Dhan Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji. We celebrated this special day with another workshop delving into the life of Guru Sahib. We discussed their early life, how they came to be known as Tegh Bahadur, their unattached way of living and how they revealed they were our 9th King.

Our workshop was centred on the Sakhi of Baba Makhan Shah Lubana, the Sikh who discovered Guru sahib as the 9th Guru and shouted it from his lungs; 'GURU LADHO RAE!' The same way Guru Sahib kept him safe whilst at sea, we asked our workshoppers 'how can we keep ourselves afloat the Sikhi boat?

Together, we drew boats and used words and images of what we felt was important for us to stay afloat this journery.

We then ended the workshop with our first Kirtan programme by our lovely little workshopper.

We had a magical time learning, drawing and singing the praises of our Guru. We hope to catch you all next month!
